This album is a continuation in my pursuit of bringing back the Wall of Sound, suiting it for a modern setting, while staying true to the techniques of building the 'Wall' (layered vocals, harmonies galore, every instrument in the book combining to make new sounds, blending everything with echo, reverb, and compression, etc...)
After over a decade of producing my own solo music by myself: doing all the writing, performing, production, etc alone, and after much reflection of my job as a producer- taking songs either from scratch, or 99% of the way there, to the finish the line, I wanted to create an album in the manner of how I produce my clients. Not all the songs came from my pen, and many are co-writes. Every song is a collaboration. I had my dear friend, the amazingly talented Nathan Roundhouse, co-produce the entire album with me. Additionally, I was lucky enough to recruit the talents of some friends/collaborators to lend a hand, whose contributions are listed below.
Finally, I'd like to dedicate this album to Phil Spector, the creator of the Wall of Sound, who passed away this past January. Phil, if you can hear this, I promise to give my all into rebuilding the 'Wall' and keeping your wonderful creations alive. "To Know Him Is To Love Him"
